For me the most badass looking armor set is Kaiden Mercanery set. With dismounter or Omen's cleaver in both hands, i feel unstoppable. Who cares about stats, we're all here for god damn fashion. Cheers m8

I believe now the Tree Sentinel set is now considered the "most optimal" set considering poise/negation to weight - this used to be Veteran's but I think 1.08 changed that. Been doing an Arcane run and made it a goal to collect all the weapons and armor. Finished collecting the weapons and only have 3 pieces of armor left: Beastman's Jar Shield, Haligtree Greatshield, and Haligtree Knight Greaves(I consider shields as part of armor rather than weapons). Also maybe a thing video on shields to collect would be neat since not a whole lot of people talk about them.
Also would like to mention that the Blue Silver set, Drake Knight set, Briar set, and Spellblade set as some of my favorites. The Blue Silver can be farmed near Ordina or if you're a monster you can kill Lutenna and get the whole set. Drake Knight can be found in Crumbling Farum Azula. Briar set in Round Table Hold after killing Elmer in the Shaded Castle. Spellblade set is in Round Table Hold after finishing Rogier questline.

For me, Tree Sentinel set is my favorite for both looks and stats, but I frequently use Imp Wolf helm for bonus endurance

One of my favorite armor sets are the banished knights set with the black cape. Yes it was a pain to get. I also love the nox battle monk and maide set but with the banished knights helm with the scarf around the head and warriors leg and arm pieces.

One of my favorite on female characters is the Blue Cloth Set, warrior starter armor. The chest armor in particular, which goes together with tons of different helms, legs and gloves. Try it out and find your favorite combo.

There are so many cool armor sets that it's hard to choose number 1. My top 2 favorites are Hoslow and Alberich. Also having fun with mixing and matching

I love creating the most absurd outfits. Godskin chunky boy armor, whatever white pants you have, albanorec mask, and sorcerer arm wraps. Hilarious.

The Drake Knight Armor set from Farum Azula is my favorite for looks, it's also pretty good for medium Armor

I think the best of the knight sets is the Haligtree Knight Set - The metal looks green in the light, similarly to how the Gelmir set looks purple.

I love the banished knights set. Can be found early, look great, and pretty good defense.

i always liked the banished knights, therefore borrowed me their plates. banished knights has some nice variety by mixing it with the altered version, and the veterans armor, you dont like the helmet, you have two other options, you dont like the chest piece, another two are there, for your gauntlets and shoes, blank and new, or worn, your choice.

My favourite set has to be the nox priestess/maiden set, the way it just flows while fighting your enemies while still looking elegant is just awesome.

Secondly I really love the Banished Knight set. Its quite menacing and has one of the best cloaks in the game.

I do Royal Remains Helm, Blackflame Monk Armor, Bull-Goat Greaves, and Banished Knight Gloves. Looks amazing and gives you great stats. At 35 Endurance with a Sword of Night and Flame and Prince of Death staff. Still at medium load.

The Crucible Knight Set (Tree version) is probably the most efficient heavy armor in the game, followed by the Banished Knight Set, the Beast Champion Set and the Malformed Dragon Set.
From the medium armors the Raging Wolf Set is both very efficient and looks great, The Vagabond Knight Set is also very efficient though looks a bit dull imho.
