Another beautiful piece. Sapele and Oak just go together so well!

The result is absolutely stunning! The Sapele bowl measures 8 inch wide and 2 1/2 inches tall (approx 200mm x 65mm).

It always amazes me what people throw away. It's not waste until we stop using it!

You have produced a lovely bowl. I mainly use oak and sapele myself and I love the tulipwood lamination 🌞

That's a nice shape. AND, I love the green with the other colors. I'm curious though, how did the oak affect the turning? Oak tends to be pretty "chippy" and I'm sure there was a different feel as you hit the oak in the middle of the sapele.

I like the color and all, but can we go with thicker stock or multiple layers of veneer? I would like it to be less subtle.

great bowl. How do you protect your makers mark? do you worry that it will absorb water and discolour if the piece touches water?
