Empowering Families: Best Practices for Family Engagement

For thirty-five years, the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) has been a trusted partner, providing families across California and beyond with the tools necessary to collaborate with schools and communities to ensure their children achieve their full potential. This presentation will provide an overview of PIQE’s work, supporting and empowering families to actively participate in their children’s education. We will share information and experiences from our programming, particularly PIQE’s Bridge to College program, which helps prepare families of college-bound students for the transition to higher education. Finally, we will share lessons learned and additional initiatives about the most effective ways to engage families and uplift their voices to create more prosperous communities.
