I loved George, but as a music critic, his opinion of Neil Young is fucking obtuse, it's amazing he would have said it publicly. Very, very amateurish behavior towards a superior musician. And I don't love Young, personally. But, musically...different.

One of my first albums was a black market illegally made album of Nei Young in 1971, called “Live From Sugar Mountain.” I played that album until my Diamond needle wore a hole to side B. Better than a lot of George’s work. Not that I don’t adore the Beatles, but Neil Young is an icon.
