Easy T-shirt Quilt - Great for Beginners Including Borders

There are several situations that call for a t-shirt quilt. My situation is that my brother-in-law fixed my car and requested a t-shirt quilt instead of payment. I have been decluttering and a t-shirt quilt made from my old t-shirts will keep the memories, free up the room and make something I can cuddle. What is the reason you need a t-shirt quilt? Is a child graduating or has a friend asked you to make something from a loved ones shirts?

My brother passed away in 2017 and last year I was finally able to convince my mom to let go of his bags of clothes. But because I had just started sewing (2 years ago now) she asked if i could make a quilt or something for her. So I've had two garbage bags of clothes in my garage as I'm so afraid to cut into them and not be able to make something good. Wow, April!!! You came in 1st place on this one (of course you did)! Awesome job!!! I'm making one for a friend with all her Harley Davidson t-shirts and hope I can really rev up some excitement like yours does. I also watched Du's video a few days ago, and she knocked it out if the park for me too with great tips! I'm heading to my friend's home in Phoenix next month to do it together even though doesn't sew. She's a bone marrow transplant survivor and she's cancer free, so this quilt will not only keep her snuggly warm at night, it's a celebration of a time she was full of her love of riding, speed, and the thrills of living. I hope I do justice for this tribute as you did. You've really inspired me on this one. Ig, before I forget, I LOVE that large clock joined in with the smaller signed graphic, too. Very nice vision! I love the NASCAR quilt it came out so cool looking I've made one t-shirt quilt about 3 years ago and it was my first one and I thought they were super easy everyone told me how hard they were to make but I thought they were easier than a regular quilt to make but I didn't have Oliver to help me with mine.
