Using the Same Melody with Different Songs (Kurdish, Persian, Azerbaijani Turkish)
Harwaya Harwaya, Golnar, Mina, Araz Araz (A Brief History)
All these songs have been sung with the same melody. The original melody/song was Kurdish by Hasan Zirak (زیرک حسن) called Herwaya Harwaya (ھروایھ) from long ago. Shahram Nazari, Marjan and Mahsa Vahdat also have songs with the same melody with a different poem from Rahim Moeini Kermanshahi The name of the song is “Mina”. Bijan Bijani has a song with the same melody with a poem by Feridoun Moshiri (مشیری فریدون ) called “Golnar”. Aşıq Zülfiyyə and Several Azerbaijani singers have sung the poem “Araz Araz” by Bahman Zamani (ﺑﮭﻣن زﻣﺎﻧﯽ) with the same Kurdish melody. Needless to say, there are many different versions of these songs by different singers. There are even a record of some poem citations, such as Urmu Goli, with the Herwaya melody.
Translation of Mina ( مینا ) Song Only:
I detached myself from this material world to find
happiness/excitement
I wandered madly in the desert to look for a love
Kissing you is both cure and pain for me
My heart is filled with blood like enamel and I am silent
On the night of being away from you, my heart is
bleeding
When I imagine you, the smell of flowers from my
arms
So long you are away from me, I am lovesick
While you are sleeping in every night, I am awake
You have wine-colored (intoxicating) lips, I have
bloody tears
If I take heart from you, I will die of sadness
I swear to God, being away from you, life means
nothing to me
I detached myself from this material world to find
happiness/excitement
I wandered madly in the desert to look for a love
Kissing you is both cure and pain for me
My heart is filled with blood like enamel and I am
silent

(Kurdish Song)
(Persian Song 1)
(Persian Song 2)
(Azerbainani Turkish Song)
