I do something called love the hater, that is when someone comments or DMs me something negative or a hateful comment I go out of my way and say something positive about them. They most of the time calm down and give you the reasoning behind why they said that, which in turn can be constructive criticism many a times and may help you improve whatever you do.

Again another great video! I particularly like this topic, because not too many youtubers address how other creators can handle these issues. At the end of the day, hate begets hate and honestly that's just exhausting. So for those people out there wasting their energy hating on people who are doing big things, remember it won't fix what's really hurting you.

*No matter what you do, you will always have haters. That's why "all" Popular videos on YouTube have dislikes. No matter how awesome the video is, some people would still dislike. Cause we're all different, and we all have different mentalities. What I like might not be what you like.*
*As a Creator, the Best you should do is to keep on doing Great content and try to put in your Best in all you do. Many would appreciate you, and others won't.*
*As for haters, reply them positively, or hide their comments. That's a sign of maturity.*

I am still fairly new to YT so this has not been a big issue yet. I have responded to one acting like they were not being negative. They did not reply. The others I hid from my channel. Thank you both for the great perspective.

One thought - many folks are in desperate financial or personal situations. Zak eluded to this around envy. I sometimes wonder if commenting is some way to shed anger and frustration. This was one heck of an awesome video. Helpful, as I am in the process of preparing my channel for launch.

Thanks for this! I stumbled on it right when I needed it. I'm just starting my YT journey and my first video (sent to a limited group) didn't produce hate, it produced crickets! I think that's almost as bad as hate but I'm committed to improving and keepin' on. Love your videos!

Hey Ben, your videos and channel are phenomenal, keep it up! I've always loved making small videos for me and my friends, but I've never considered trying to share content online until recently... I definitely struggle with the fear and the doubt that anyone could respond positively, but its creators like yourself that inspire me to worry less about those things and focus instead on my own enjoyment and satisfaction from the creative process.
