How to password protect a directory and user in Plesk

Step 1. Login into a Plesk panel.

Step 2. Click the Password-Protected Directories option.

Step 3. Click Add Protected Directory.

Step 4. Enter the name of the directory you want to protect, then click OK.

Step 5. The directory is now protected, however, we now have to create at least one user that can access it. Click the directory name.

Step 6. Then click Add New User.

Step 7. Give this new user a username and password, then click OK.

Step 8. That's it! The user was created.

Be sure to create a separate account for each person who should have access to that directory.
