I was freaking out over the smell. After I watched this video I decided to look under my car and check muffler. Turns out a plastic bag got stuck to my muffler and is just slowly melting. Pheeeew though I was about to have to sell my sould to pay for mechanical work😅

I used "liquid belt tightener" and coaxed a good 2 years out of a loose belt that could not be tightened.

Quick question would that be because the Bell is over tightened or because it's loose. Or would you say the belt would need replacing?

My belt always squeals when I first start it but I am told the underside is plastic not rubber so it can take a few years before the actual belt snaps

So I have an issue where my belt is rubbing against the side of engine where this plastic cover is over the timing belt and it is because (in my opinion) the pulley on the alternator does not extend out far enough. Any advice

Too bad every mechanic shop in the US charges a CRAZY amount of money for the smallest amount of work. Sucks to be in the working class of americans bc we can't afford to bring our vehicle to you. Belt costs $30 dollars and Shop charges $200+ for a 30 minute belt change. lol

Wow what else would it be the belt are the only rubber under the hood
