This week on geohug we have guest rockstar Graeme Hird from Rock Solid Seismic joining us, where he will discuss how to Understand and Utilise Hard Rock 2D Seismic Data in Complex Geological Environments.

Graeme's presentation explains many of the "insider tricks" to interpreting 2D seismic data in complex geological environments. He'll be attempting to demystify what many consider a dark art, so that you too can use this cost-effective exploration technique to build confidence in your project's geological framework.

29:50 - On migrated seismic section diffractions does not exist. If some artefacts (frowns) are present, it means that migration velocities were slower.

34:30 - No way that reflection below "target" is a multiple, especially in hard rock environment. This should be confirmed through velocity analysis, as well as inverted polarity of the multiple reflection, which is not the case.
