First thing to say, I am very thankfull to Mr Klavan for sharing his story and pain. And of course to Mr Fradd for his excelent podcast and interviews.

But also, as a catholic and a psychiatrist, I can't help but seeing that this man might have suffered from bipolar liness. And God cured him.

I'm at such a similar point in my life. I'm 28 years old. I know there must be a God, but I can't figure out how to believe in Him. I have a son whom I love very much, but I'm depressed. My lights are turned off. I'm ready to give up being my own person.

After hearing this I certainly feel less alone, so thank you, thank you, thank you.

Klavan was a big part of my personal journey. We may disagree sometimes, but I thank God for him.

I’ve recently started reading Klavan’s books (The Great Good Thing and his Cameron Winter series). I’m in my early 20’s and struggled with my faith for most of those years. His testimony reflected many of the things I thought and felt on my way to Christ. Andrew Klavan, I believe, has accomplished his task as a writer. I felt less alone in my experience of the world.

Having escaped nihilism myself and a failed suicide attempt Christ revealed himself and today Im a happy Catholic getting married in December. God has changed me and I cant stop witnessing and talking about Christ and his Church.

I had to learn to use depression as a gift, it sounds weird but there is a lot to be learned from the experience with the right perspective. That book called The Jesus Response by John Pohl as also helpful for me.
