The Verselab MV-1 is a Preset Monster!

Today I'm once again live with the Roland Verselab MV-1. I've made it a personal goal to learn the Verselab inside and out, and so today I figured it would be fun to go through some of the incredibly presets that it has. As someone who doesn't particularly enjoy sound design, having so many iconic sounds ready to go is a huge plus, andi is one of the main reasons I've been enjoying this groovebox lately. Glad to see you continuing to explore the Verselab. It seems to have a small, but very loyal following, so I'm always glad to see people making new videos with it.

I haven't gotten to use mine as much as I've wanted, but I think it sounds great, can do so many things decently well, and while the workflow has a big initial hump, once you learn it, you've learned the workflow for a drum machine, a sequencer, virtual instruments, a sampler, a vocal processor, and effects.

For $599 the MV1 is super underrated. Definitely the best sounding groovebox at that price

It’s the zen core engine. As far as I know it’s exactly the same sounds as what’s on the MC-101 and MC-707 and others as well. Nice jam

Hello. Can anyone tell me if the function of hold note only works with external midi ? Does anyone know how to activate the hold function on the machine's pads?

You should also try it as a controller/sequencer. Pretty powerful with its perf input modes and TR sequencing/song arranging.
