You wouldn't say the most convincing endorsement, but certainly gave a clear impression of the style of player CCV is. Feels like more of a cover/back-up than a first choice

For the record, American enthusiasts of the beautiful game are very comfortable calling it "football" in the company of non-Americans.

We use the word, "soccer" amongst ourselves, only to distinguish it from the American game, which is obviously a national passion.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the young man fares in Paradise. Being under contract to 1 club and on loan to several in succession, as he has been, must be trying. Hopefully, he feels at home, comfortable, and welcome in East Glasgow.

I would very much enjoy seeing a few Americans in hoops. With Carter-Vickers being a dual national and a product of English academies (I believe?? Corrections welcome), it's not quite the same as plucking a young, well known prospect from an American academy or MLS roster... but a nice step.
