Is Slovakia Becoming the Next Hungary?

Ever since Robert Fico's re-election last October, Slovakia hasn't been all that popular with the European Union. In this video, we're taking a look at how Fico returned to power, why the EU doesn't like his politics, and whether Slovakia is becoming another headache for the EU.

Our mission is to explain news and politics in an impartial, efficient, and accessible way, balancing import and interest while fostering independent thought.

As a Brit living in Slovakia all I can say is the Slovaks will get what they voted for just as the British got what they voted for. Slovakia will be raising its VAT to 23% shortly. Those that voted Smer or SNS will blame the EU of course.
