The incredible singer/keyboard player/arranger/composer Jonah Nilsson of the band Dirty Loops is featured in this Jazz fusion arrangement of Last Surprise from Persona 5 co-arranged by the great Button Masher! When Jonah approached me about singing something with the band, I knew we had to do something from the Persona 5 sound track for him, and I recruited Button Masher to help bring some more advanced harmonic sensibility commonly found in Dirty Loops' sound. "The 8-Bit Big Band" is a 30-65 member Jazz/pops orchestra that formed to celebrate and realize some of the best themes from video game music from all consoles and eras arranged in a large ensemble Jazz/Pop/Rock setting!

Blending together timeless musical themes from Nintendo, Sega, Sony, and more then re-arranging them in genres and styles of all musical inspirations, The 8-Bit Big Band has members from all around the world, but most reside primarily in New York City, and are some of the most highly sought after musicians and performers.

Just incredible! Dirty Loops has been one of my favorite bands for years, and when i saw Jonah's feature listed on the album I couldn't believe that these two musical forces were colliding. And more specifically, colliding into one of the best JRPG battle themes ever composed. This was such a delight to listen to, and I am so unbelievably hopeful that this song or one of the others on Album 4 will be considered for a Grammy.
