I have bought lease return cars and have been very happy. Make sure they still have the factory warranty, car fax the vehicle and pull the service records. Rental cars have been driven by many people over the service life and may not be such a good deal.

I bought an executive driven 2014 2LT Traverse with 5, 500 miles because it was the only white one available at the time. It still runs great, but I doubt I got much of a discount because I wasn't educated back then.

In 2018 I bought a 2018 KIA Forte LX with 8000 from the KIA dealer for my daughter. She needed college and work car and wasn't really too picky about the package. I paid $12K for it with CPO certification. I did all the pricing and homework and that was a good price, around $4500 under MSRP and even under the KBB and NADA used car price for this model and miles. Yes, you have to remember it's a used car and need to check it out. But considering it was a current year and very clean I went for it. I bought the extended warranty since i never owned a KIA. I am a Toyota guy LOL. Now, they wanted $2300 for that and I said Nope, not buying it. The sales manager said "Would you buy it for $430?", I said yes I can do that. I already had the financing arranged at the credit union, so all they needed to do is send the paper work to the CU and we were off to the races. No hassle when you do your home work. Oh, made the last payment on the car loan yesterday and the car has 98780 miles without any problems.

I got a dealer "Demo" car in the late '80s and it was great. I got a Toyota Celica GT-S and it was higher trim level. The only option it didn't have was leather seats. I got a great deal and I loved that car.

I’m glad THG & Car Edge are getting along. Great advice to research research research!!!

I’ve been researching the new car market for two years watching several channels. Because of information from this & other channels, what I thought was my “one” make/model choice has expanded to five makes/models that I’m watching.

Thanks THG for your information!! 🫡🫡🔥🔥

Are there any Canadian residents on this channel that have used Kevins and Elizabeths tips. I would love to see these, city and vehicles bought and the deals.

Depends on the vehicle and who has used it. If every Tom, Dick and Harry has test driven it, no thanks. If it's driven by one person, such as a vehicle manufacturer executive maybe. The world "executive" is a loose term. Executive from where? A lot of people get vehicles as a perk from their employer.

Good info. These demo deals seem elusive. Never seem to find them when I’m looking.

back in the 70s, the local Datsun stealership would have the sales and service staff drive the new 240/260/280 z cars for a week or two, rack up a few hundred miles, then they removed the msrp sticker, and charged over it to buyers.
nowadays, they don't bother, they slam an ADM sticker on . 👺🙄🤔👺🐷

Is a brand new with 80 miles already on it considered a demo car?

How does one determine if a dealer has demo cars or executive cars? I'm looking at Lexus IS 500, and would really like to have a nice discount.

Many dealers use "program cars" to refer to rental cars that they purchased at auction. To lump "program cars" in with executive vehicles and demos is just wrong on so many levels. Rental cars often don't have maintenance performed at the suggested intervals, have been treated rough, and aren't necessarily "good deals". The video didn't do enough to explain this difference and seems misleading at best.
