The Jabra Sport Pulse Special Edition Bluetooth Wireless Headphones are the best workout headphones on the market at this time.

The Jabra Sport Pulse Special Edition Headphones track your heart rate, VO2 Max, and more. Paired with the Jabra app, they can track distance, cadence, pace, and other important metrics.

The work with third party applications like myfitnesspal, runtastic, Strava, and more. They even allow you to create custom workout profiles for the gym, lifting, crossfit, bootcamp, and other exercises.

Great review but I have one Quick question I don't think you covered? Can you use the in ear heart rate monitor with other Apps like UA Record or is the only way to get HR info by using the Jabra App. This would be a deal breaker for me.

I cannot find the "special edition" anywhere. can you confirm that Jabra stills has the special edition or did they just update the regular sports pulse?

Can you pair these with a fitness watch like Fitbit Ionic and listen to music directly from your watch instead of bringing your phone with you?

do these offer the same features as the sport coach special additional along with heart rate. I like the idea of having the software count reps.

On a side note I have had a lot of headphones (jaybird freedom, X2, wireless beats, LG infinum, and a few more) and the original jabra sport pulse have probably been the best pair I have owned. They are over a year old and still going while some of the others have died or wouldn't pair with my tomtom spark (damn you jaybird freedom). I was tempted to get these but the old ones are still going so I haven't done it yet.

Can you leave one ear bud in and get the heart rate? So, for example, could I take one out to have a quick conversation or to readjust it without losing the heart rate tracking?

If what you say is true then the market needs to improve. That said I do agree with you about the sound. The Jabra also has first beat analytics which is state of the art. My problem is that I wanted to take advantage of getting my VO2 max score. The thing is I do not like to train out doors. I get my cardio on the concept2 rower and ski erg. So to get a VO2 max score Jabra needs GPS data combined with heart rate. It does decent jog on steady state rows. It sucks balls with high intensity intervals. For that matter High Intensity anything.. I also have a polar OH1 which works great. It does not have first beat so that is Polars draw back. I call the customer service and they were great. I needed to get a firmware update and they email me the link to get that. Jabra did not improve though. I know I am in the minority about not liking to train out doors. This is just my review. I still take it with me to the gym. Since I have no expectations I am never disappointed any more.
