Sky turns blood red in Zhoushan, China

Many videos have surfaced on social media last weekend of blood red skies in Zhoushan, China, stunning residents in the port city.

Local authorities said the red sky was caused by refraction of red lights from fishing boats. According to the Zhoushan Meteorological Bureau, it was foggy and cloudy last Saturday and it was drizzling at the time of the red sky, which might have been caused by the reflection of light from the low-level clouds.
