Sam Jackson & Bruce Willis have been in five movies together (if memory serves) they’ve been in Pulp Fiction, they never had one scene together. Unlike Diehard With A Vengeance where they were practically attached for most of the movie. They were both in Unbreakable, Glass, National lampoons loaded weapon 1, & they were slatted to star together again but both backed out of the project.

I’m confused by 2 different reports. This says Sam L Jackson almost lost the part but another video (can’t recall who by) said that he was given the part as a deal for not getting a part in Reservoir Dogs.

Actually the role was written for Lawrence fishburn who was told to pass by his agents because it was a supporting role and they wanted him to take more leading roles to be a leading man also heard he didn’t like the overdose scene thinking it glorified drug use. Samuel l was mistaken for fishburn at the audition forcing him to give an angry performance winning him the role.
