IELTS Life Skills A1 Speaking & Listening Test UKVI Spouse Visa 2024 || New Topics Phase 1 A

IELTS Life Skills is an English test for people who need to prove their English speaking and listening ability as part of a visa or immigration application.
IELTS Life Skills is available at A1, A2 or B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The tasks in the test are based on everyday subjects such as work, transport and the weather, which reflect the experience of communicating in an English-speaking country. It is a single test covering speaking and listening skills.
Before you register for your test you should check the English language requirements for your visa category. If you are in the UK, contact UK Visas and Immigration (part of the UK Home Office). If you are anywhere else in the world, you should contact the British Embassy or High Commission in your country.
This test should take around 16-18 minutes.

Candidate B : Shopping on weekends
Discussion: Morning Routine ( 3 minutes)

Listening Test Phase 1B
Candidate A What time of the year are they talking about ?
Candidate B What time of the year are they talking about ?

Listening Test Phase 2B
Candidate B answer the questions from the first recording
What month is the speaker's birthday ?
And what does she like to see in the park?
Candidate A answer the questions from the second recording.
What does the speaker like to see in the park?

IELTS A1 Life Skills, Spouse Visa test UKVI is compulsory for candidates who have their spouses( husband/ wife) in the UK and they are permanent residents of the United Kingdom.
A1 Life Skills has two modules only, 'SPEAKING' and 'LISTENING. No Reading and Writing (Good news).
Total time of the IELTS A1 Life Skills Speaking and Listening Test is 16- 18 minutes.
Speaking for 12-14 minutes and Listening for remaining 4 minutes.
There are two candidates in this test, Candidate A and Candidate B.
The IELTS A1 Speaking Test consists of 3 phases/ sections.
Phase 1a : interview (4-5 minutes)
Phase 1b: Questions (5 minutes)
Phase 2b: Discussion ( 3-4 minutes)

There are 40 -50 important Topics for Speaking, if the candidate prepares thoroughly, success is guaranteed 100 %.
