From now till year-end, all Tips and Donations from my videos will help families at my son’s middle school who can't afford the Spring 2025 D.C. trip. I’ll be matching every donation! @UNCLEJESSY on venmo as well

Thanks for the shoutout of my generator website! Loved to see you demo the minimum width/length options for the bases!

1. Take a picture of the object next to a ruler or something like a penny.
2. Import the picture into your CAD software and scale to size based on the object.
3. Draw around the tool.

I’m sure Zack will be proud of you intro

You can take a straight-on picture of a tool with complex profile and then load that into Fusion as a background image, then calibrate your sketch to a known dimension in the image. Then you just sketch on top of the image to create your scale cutout.

It's not just the script; the delivery is *absolutely perfect*

I must have watched around 15 videos about Gridfinity, and this one was by far the most enlightening especially the part about the base generator. Well done!

The alliteration at the beginning was actually perfect. Well done sir.

My wife recently suggested and asked for me to Gridfinity the kitchen utensils drawer. Its now underway and we gained over 60% of drawer space back just by using these

The intro was very impressive, and almost made me choke on my lunch. :)

For me, the biggest challenge with Gridfinity or any other "storage solution" is figuring out how I want to set up the drawers. And I don't want to trial-and-error it, because that's either throwing money in the garbage or making even *more* crap that I need to store. So I end up getting overwhelmed and just not doing anything with it.

Great vid. One thing I normally do is to trace the image of the object, placed a rectangle border around with and take a pic of it with a small ruler so show the scale. Take a pic, open it in photopea (free online photoshop app) square it up using the border, scale it to the ruler measurement. Then trace around the path using the vector pen tool. Create a 10x10mm object (this can be used to make sure that you can check the scale is correct when brought into tinker cad), after that export the path as a SVG. And bring it into tinkercad :)))

That was a great impression. Not just the alliteration, but the cadence, inflections, etc...

I'm setting up my first 3D printer today. This is extremely helpful as just knowing where to go is something no one does.
