This is a genius idea. No electricity or gas or super expensive equipment needed. I wonder about putting bricks all around the exhaust pipe to absorb and radiate heat which might help keep chicks from getting too close and getting burned too as well as conserving energy.
The brick would hold a lot of heat so even if the fire went out they would stay warm for a while. But it appears it is not needed.
I have recently been giving thought to how i would go about building a little brooder barn or using existing buildings and installing a infrared gas heater because we have natural gas. Electricity for heat lamps is nice but if the power goes off we have to get jugs of hot water heated by the gas anyways.
Just yesterday the power went off so I had to bring 30 birds indoors and give them hot water jugs.

You keep burner outside and pipe shoudl cross the shed with higher exit at another side. So that your you can avoid smoke and increase temperature inside the shed.

I have wondered if a system like this could be used to spread heat evenly round a poultry house so I'm a bit excited to see this clip.
however seeing it in reality I'm compelled to ask;
1: does this system efficiently pass heat down the length of the pipe or is it essentially just the smoke that goes through and out of what looks like an outlet at the other end?
2: do you have a longer video showing how you designed this and the general idea and how it works? ..or 'could you'?
