I donated a 4 day, one on one bow making class to be auctioned at the 2017 Backcountry Hunters & Anglers Rendezvous. This is day one of the class and we made some good progress. We chased a ring, laid out the bow, and removed the bulk of the belly wood. Tomorrow, we'll start the floor tillering process.

Reminds me of my boxbuilding class in Austria 10 years ago. A dream came true.. . Now finally hunting in Canada's wilderness and away from Europe's dense population... and after years of absence I built a hickory board bow here in a morning for grouse hunting. Got a r/d laminated bamboo/fiberglass lomgbow that I love... but I gotta build me another Osage bow! Subscriber and lover of your channel since day 1!

This is an awesome video. Several years back I bought a magazine that had a picture of a guy hunting with a long bow
Been wanting to learn how to build one since. The Marines left me with a sense of learning how to be more self sufficient signature hits the fan. A bow is athe good way to go because ammo will run out lol

Well I'm I'm going to be on the hunt for a nice hickory tree this fall to try my hand at this. Clay how big of tree is to big around stick to coffee can size. But is up to basketball size ok?

Was that a compass tool? Are you making lines on both sides with the tool? Could tell if legs had pens on them.
