I wish you had looked at the bottoms of the brass cranes. I just bought a pair that looks exactly like it made by Frederick Cooper of Chicago who was also a lamp maker for $250. $32 each was a steal. Go back and get

I grew up in the 70s—some friends of our family had the exact same oil rain lamp, and I remember thinking it was the coolest thing ever. I also miss the rotary phones—-something so satisfying about the sound you hear as you dial the number!
