I don't know that it need longer limbs. The small size is really a nice feature.
If the left handle was hinged so that it would store flatter, but either flop or detent into draw position, that might be a good addition.

I designed a semi-auto CO2 powered crossbow. It uses a piston inside the butt-stock to pull the string back, a regulator set to between 50 and 100 psi, two electric valves, a switch that activates when a string is not currently cocked back, and a kill switch that disables the battery if the trigger is currently being held back (for safety purposes).

It's interesting seeing the legal differences between countries; here in Canada crossbows are unregulated but pistol crossbows are illegal. Our laws seems geared to outlawing concealable weapons, although sadly we cannot have the air powered arrow shooters without a gun license like you can. They look so cool...

You should make the fore-grip a collapsable one. This would leave a "full size" grip in use, but a flat fore-end when collapsed.
If you also made the rear "grip" able to rotate, it could also collapse the profile for a more "compact" look.
If you "borrow" any of these ideas, please let me know. I'm cool with it, and want nothing more than to know I helped.

The Barrett 107 has built-in shock absorbing for recoil and makes more accuracy in shooting. This could also make your fast bows to take the shock better and safer for the tool.

You should create an arm sling. The sling goes back around your shoulder, and its linked to the cocking mechanism. Then to reload all you do is push your arm forward. I thill think a more stream line with bands would be cooler. but you could have a slimmer 5 shot single arm reloader.
