It's actually a pretty good game if you want to have fun, cute costumes and mounts. I have tried the f2p way on my alternate account, i recommended going this route since its a rng game; don't get too competitive if you're not mentally (financially) strong against javir, useless. We get rares also just by loging in now. So I suggest everyone who wants to come back or give it a try, please do!!!!

i was starting to think with all the stuff they have available now and adding cross worlds. there might be a pretty big learning curve now learning all the new stuff there is to do and just the vast amount of dailies as well as doing main quest.

Jade Virgo here. There is a bunch of people from one KD who started PK people when they were the top of the server. problem was nobody even knew pk was a thing so more than half the server quit. They calm down maybe because christmas is here or because they need help for cross field xD, but i truly get the same feeling about the vibe than when we started the server. but just a bunch of high cp player. pretty chill if you ask me now, but i could def write a novel with all the drama that happend cauz i was either first row or on stage xD

So many players from my kingdom have quit. I keep playing and try to enjoy what I can. I even stream it on twitch so I do hope it gets more lively soon.

So I've read through some of the comments here and I feel let down. As someone who really enjoyed and loved the franchise for its first 2 games, Cross Worlds being strictly MMO is something that stops me from diving in. And yet, I am still somehow hoping to experience it or at least for the developers to release a new Ni No Kuni game that is a direct successor of the first 2.

I'd say for new and returning players, it's pretty fun to play if you really just want to have fun and enjoy the content, specially if you have a good guild/friends. It will get pretty stressful if you try to aim for the rankings since it's mostly luck based or pay-to-win. And tbh if you get over the hate of javir you'll see that it's okay, if everyone just get success on upgrades everytime then all players will probably be at +99 already right? how boring would that be.

How do you deplete so much of your territe energy? I'm over level 100 and still can't even farm my daily amount in a day with my best element... Are you using territe boosts or something?

Already quit NNK last month because of cursing, my +55 necklace and +48 Earth weapon became +25 and +28 which was really depressing since I've have grinded those materials for months only for my character to get weaker and get kick out in the rankings so I quit.

No, I must say, even for the players as myself who still keep going, have kingdom fused etc, this update is nice, it motivates everyone again to play more :) The game still has its flaws, of course, but new story mode will have us party up again to get through story missions :)
Also for the PKing, there's only PKing in Chaos 4th floors and Cross now, outside....not really anymore, top guilds actually look to recruit more now and don't want to frustrate players I feel like.

The game is definitely fun. Been playing f2p for since it launched in US. If you are doing f2p be patient or you will quit fast. Guilds def help with more activities. Plus things are way too expensive to turn into a whale.

Just don't waste any more money on this game. Other gacha games will give you more bang for your buck.

Cross fields for me made the game more interesting for me and I found myself enjoying the game like I did at launch.

Netmarble has managed to break this game again and again, and now the problem issues has shifting a little from javir/dark magic crisis and lack of content (contents incoming) to cheaters/hackers which is give even worse frustration in combination with persistence javir effect to all playerbase.

defenitely a fun game to enjoy. Just dont lose ur mind to the cursing system.

I quit because my server had massive pvp griefing where the top players on the server would log in, and kill everyone on every floor of chaos fields, 2 or 3 times in a row, and then log off to come back in a couple hours to do it again. Afk farming was at best 2 hours long before you were killed. Aside from blocking exp farming, this blocked territe farming.

I think its worth, but just be a smart spender, cause i got 3.5 m, just being f2p, and i still can compete, true a big whale can have a very high cp like 6 mil more, but its not to many of them on the server, and the reward from nnk is begin to better n better, so i think its still worth

If you are not competitive player and just want to enjoy Ghibli style design, You should play NNKCW. The WORST part of this game is dev do nothing about cheater. Cheater enjoy reward from lava valley and team temple arena since SS1 until now.

personal summary don't play this game if you didn't play from the first 2 months you're too far behind and will have to spend a lot of money to catch up otherwise you will always be destroyed by much higher players. this game won story of they year but I have no idea how the story was mediocre at best I only did it for the rewards and occasional fighting cutscene. also the main story isn't even finished its locked behind updates.
