Just a tip: If you are experiencing mobs being delayed or lagging, turn your Chunk Builder to Semi-Blocking and make sure lazy chunk loading is off.

Mine was perfectly smooth like 150 FPS or so but when I am running nonstop, especially in survival mode I get significant lag spikes, which is so annoying. My Minecraft is in Fabric mod v1.19.4 I got a Complimentary Reimagined Shader pack, Fresh Animations, and Better Default Texture packs but my FPS is fine when not running fast only if I run straight up to the woods it gives me lag spikes.

I was getting strange and obnoxious single digit lag only in a certain built up area, making me think it was some corrupted block as it definitely was not entities, but your threaded option fixed this! Crazy thing was I forgot to reset it to threaded when I downloaded the newer version of optifine.

I understand that your video was made 8 months ago but everything you have stated is what I’m experiencing now. I’m on a Xbox not a pc. I have never had this horrible lag until a few days ago after the latest update. It’s so bad in every world now and very frustrating to watch my do absolutely nothing. I can see that they are trying to do something but it’s just not happening. The cats and other mobs do the same, and like you stated about placing or mining a block is so slow. I play Minecraft for many hours everyday, so when this latest update dropped is when this issue started. I have tried all obvious solutions like resetting the router, Xbox, internet speed check and so on. I’m sure I’ve missed something to check on especially in game settings but regardless my worlds lag persist. I’m reaching out to you and your thread hopefully for some advice on a 8 month old video but hey it’s worth a try.

Everyone if your still lagging after his fix you have go to performance and turn on render regions and turn on smart animations

I got random lag spikes on mobile for a few months now and I can't find a solution for it. Not a single update fixed the issue till now and I am playing on a gaming phone and lowest possible settings. The spikes appear out of nowhere at 144 fps and it's just frustrating while doing pvp's😑

i have rx580 8gb i3 7100 ram 16 but when chunks is loading its lagging i have chunks at 10 and low graphics why ??

so, i never leave coments, but you deserve it. I had problems whit lag spikes for 2-3 months, from 170 it dropped to 0, i thought it was because of the mods and my pc couldn't handle it. Turns out, that wasn't the problem, i configured that option to 2 threads and now it works exelent 240fps sometimes dropping to 70 but its still playable. Anyways tysm❤

i don't think anyone in the history of ever had used fully blocking or semi its threaded by default and it doesn't matter because those settings don't even exist with modern sodium/embeddium

Everytime a new area loads in I get lagspikes, but I was checking with msi afterburner and when those lagspikes come it doesn’t affect the fps or frametime. What the heck could this be? I also have a decent pc:
I7 12700
RTX 3060
16 gb ddr4

And yes I allocated 4 to 6 gb of ram and same thing. Ive tried optifine, sodium, iris, and no mods at all and same thing happens

SOLUTION 2: the cause of the lag spikes is because you messed with your settings in attempt to either make the game less laggy or more comfortable for ingame experience, that being giving you lag spikes, you should reset your minecraft settings and start over, it removes the lag spikes
how to reset minecraft settings: close minecraft and go to Minecraft Launcher, click on installation at the top next to Play and Realms, click on the minecraft version your playing on (Latest release or Forge if you're using mods) then click on the folder icon next to Play, it will take you to the folder, scroll down until you find the options text document, you will see two options, 'options' and 'optionsof' make sure to click on 'option' after that close the folder and start up minecraft, it will automatically set the default options in the game
