Black holes might be some of the most mysterious objects in the universe. Although humans haven’t been able to observe black holes directly, we can identify their presence by studying the effect they have on the matter around them. This way, some of NASA’s scientists have discovered the newest black hole of the Milky Way.

But what is a stellar-mass black hole doing in our galaxy? In order to answer this question we need to understand what exactly black holes are and what their role is in the universe. First off, the main reason we can’t directly observe black holes is that they are actually objects in space with such powerful gravity that even light can’t get out.

not all black wholes have the same gravitational pull and it can differentiate between spacial anomiies...some black holes have the opposite effect and have a massive push....

There are, by my calculations, 41, 666, 278, 433 stellar-mass black holes currently in our galaxy. I counted it twice!
