A glacier has much more life to it than one might think at first glance. This 3D animated narration shows the yearly cycle of the glacier and how weather conditions affect its balance and thus its powerful effect on the land.

Accumulation is a part of the installation Equilibrium which you find in an exhibition in Breheimsenteret in Jostedal, Norway.

Following this weird logic in Antartica we have more than 3, 5km of compressed ice so that means a lot of snow fall... but fact is that in Antartica there is no snow fall and no humidity (this is untrue in borders with the oceans, but true in the inland), This animation doesn't explain the formation of Glaciers, it only explain what is happening in our days, but it doesn't explain how the huge amount of ice in the world has been created. Think twice about it, Where do this huge amount of sweet water comes from? we know that in ancient time ice covered much much more surface. Besides the fact that sweet water comes from the evaporation of the sea, it would mean higher temperature to have more evaporation thus more rain, this is consistent of what we know about dinosaurs life, they are reptile and need higher temperatures, but higher temperature is contradictory to a cold climate. Any one has a clue?
