Richmond Raptor Festival 2014 - 4K part 1

Показать описание
The Richmond Raptor Festival is an annual summer event whereby Pacific Northwest Raptors shows birds of prey to the public, with flying demonstrations and up close viewing of the birds.
This is an excellent photo event, thus all the people with cameras.
'Cause I was late to the 1st show I missed having a warm up session tracking the birds with the camera - and it shows. Got better at it as the show progressed.
--
I used 1/2000 - 1/3000 shutter speed on this and can see 4K could use 60 fps for smoother motion at higher shutter speeds.
--
I'd previously uploaded the whole 4K vid but found YouTube's reencodding with vp9's extreme bit squishing made it look like 360p so I switched to doing it 5 parts. I see It's still reencoded in vp9 - but this time it's at least more viewable without motion lapses and such. I did a bit of experimenting using the ffmpeg codec suite and seems vp9 is the 360p of 4K. It does a remarkable job of compressing video but the image quality suffers.
