Can’t decide if I should go 15 or wait for the 16 and hope for more features on the basic 16

I actually bought an silver iPhone 8 Plus off eBay brand new sealed for $200. I just wanted to add to my old iPhone collection.

I still my iPhone XS Max 256gb since brand new, have replaced battery 3 times now with OEM batteries. Sometimes battery is good sometimes it's not, especially when using apps that make the phone run warm/hot. Usually scrolling through Facebook videos/ YouTube, I get 8+ hours. Would a 15 plus get much better battery? And not run as warm?

I'm not sold on the Iphone 15. Yeah, it's faster - by a few seconds; big deal. More bells and whistles bigger camera; stuff that isn't important to me. I don't walk around all day with my nose in the iphone, ignoring the world around me, like so many do. I haven't looked at the cost of the newer phone with all the bells and whistles, which you'll pay through the nose for. No thanks; my IPhone 8 Pllus works just fine.

Should we really expect that 8 plus is going to be faster than the 15? And so what if an 8 plus user is not getting anymore software updates? Does this render the 8 plus unusable? It does not. I am sick and tired of youtubers making stupid comparisons between such an old phone(8+) and a new one (iphone 15). Talk about the 8+ on its own merit in 2023. I have an 8+ and I am not upgrading just because you silly youtubers love to talk about software update and oled screens. Talk about the fact that the 8+ has a wider screen which is much better than a narrow screen. I hate those long, narrow phones!!! ridiculous

You made a mistake I think. The standard iPhone 16 has the A16 not the A17 like the Pro versions. Also only has 6GB of ram not 8GB
