There are some excellent, informative TB Synapse reviews on YouTube. As I have been preparing for a trip with 44 high schoolers to Europe, I found out that my new pack was going to be too big due to tighter catty-on/personal item regs, so I began doing some research which led me to TB. I was intrigued due to a number of factors- Quality, versatility, details, intelligent design, and that TBs are made in the USA. I purchased the Synapse 19 with a number of smaller organization bags (with shorter and longer lanyards) in the lighter halcyon, rip stop fabric. I have carried cordura packs for the last 30 years, so this time I was wanting a lighter, more supple fabric and the halcyon does the trick for me. I'm a firm believer in investing in quality and you buy something that lasts. The price point made me think through the options, but after receiving the TB product and looking at everything that goes into a TB, I'm happy I made the purchase. In the 19, I'll fit a packing cube with a change of clothes, a water bottle, an IPad and power cables, a journal, sunglasses and reading glasses, an external battery, my TSA 3-1-1 bag and some other small misc things in the TB bags. I still have room to go. I've owned North Face, Jansport, Osprey and now a Tom Bihn. The Tom Bihn Synapse is my go-to travel bag for my future. Excellent product. I highly recommend it.

Another awesome video! I hope to buy a Synapse before my European trip next year. I had planned to get the 19 to fit EVERYTHING, but this video has me thinking the 25 is better. It will depend on how minimal I can get my camera gear :) Saving up now for my first Bihn

I just got my Synapse 19 in black dyneema and love it. My biggest gripe however is that the straps are *at least* 3 inches too long - I could probably do with 4-5 inches less, it buckles/folds over as I tighten it to fit me. The Synapse 19 is one of the only viable options for a compact, light and urban EDC for short people like me (5'2"). I do hope they consider making the straps shorter in future iterations, seeing as the Synapse 25 available for bigger frames.
