ok in all honesty it comes down to timing. whoever can click first has the immediate advantage. you can w-tap and charge at them, but that increases your chances of hitting them only twice and walking behind them forcing you to turn around and that'll mess up your timing. instead, use a projectile, like a bow, snowball or in most cases a fishing rod (which will pull them instead of pushing). while they're in the air w-tap and keep your cross-hair on their hitbox. try not to go under them cuz you can easily miss and mess up your combo.

on the more technical side, get a wifi router or ethernet cable. you need a strong wifi connection so that the game/server can register your hit in time. if you dont have a router or ethernet cable get closer to the actual "box" or the modem.

if you play bedrock edition, the same rules apply if you play windows 10 edition. if you play console or mobile i dont know what to tell you bud.

for those people who use scroll wheel to switch between hot bar slots and you want to change to key binds, just turn scroll sensitivity down to 0 to force yourself to use your keyboard
