We're back with more Iron Harvest Gameplay! In today's demo playthrough we try our best to survive. Iron Harvest is shaping up to be a very challenging and refreshing dieselpunk RTS!

Iron Harvest takes place in the World of 1920+. It is an alternate version of our own world created by Polish artist Jakub Różalski. In the early 20th century, tradition clashes with progress, and the world is still full of mysteries and secrets.

Humankind, fascinated by technology, iron, and engines, invented powerful walking machines, that proved to be mighty weapons on the battlefields of the Great War and are now part of everyday life.

The Saxony Empire is one of the most influential countries in Europe, with powerful industry, developed cities, modern factories and a strong military tradition. After the unfavorable conditions of surrender in the Great War, the current mood in the Empire is bad, and proud elites and humiliated aristocrats secretly oppose the Emperor’s appeasement policies.

The Polania Republic is a large agricultural country with a long history. It is trying to maintain its status and territory, struggling with its aggressive neighbors: The Saxony Empire in the west and Rusviet in the east. Polania initiated a program to modernize its army while a large part of the country is still occupied by Rusviet forces.

Rusviet is huge, powerful, and has unmatched industrial and population potential. However, the country is tired and worn out by the long war. People are frustrated, and the power of Tsar Nikolaj weakens. Mysterious Grigori Rasputin has become an extraordinarily powerful man and revolution is in the air...

try to blitzkrieg them with 3 scout mechs early on for resources, then focus on getting 2 big dudes to soak up hits while getting mortars to hit them while having around 2 squads of infantry to protect and repair the mortars who are weak to fast flank tactics. When moving the mortars, protect with fast moving units to soak up damage and try to create chokepoints for the mortars like on the bridges, for the final few waves, withdraw back to base.

It certainly is an interesting game although I don´t like the idea that you have to go with a pre-built base and if you lose a building it´s just gone for good. I´d personally prefer it if you start off very small and then can expand your base and build more stuff to unlock more units.

The game still needs considerable work(especially on that UI...), but I'm glad it's just a pre-alpha in it's development stages. Hopefully they also add in base-building and a proper skirmish mode with fully configurable settings/AI.

Skinny Mechs are for taking out other mechs, fat mechs are to take out groups of infantry, infantry is to be used for infantry but only truly effective when in cover and to quickly take lightly guarded points again use cover or you are just throwing bodies, mortars are good for area bombardment

Steam Punk Company of Heroes. Love it! I hope the game is using the CoH's AI. The AI in CoH would find the holes in my defenses, and get behind my lines to harass without fail. Looks fun. I wanted to back the game, but the promised release date of Dec 2019 spooked me.

I was hoping, that this game is more like Soldiers / Man of War with some awesome heavy Mechs where you might disable vulnarable parts on these machines.... but it just looks like Company of Heroes with dieselpunk mechs....

use the trenches, units take less direct damage while in a trench. Also big bois help with tanking and infantry.

You completely ignored the cover mechanics that are essential for infantry, maybe that would let them survive into the last waves.
Maybe a planned flanking/ambush maneuver to deal with those mortars would be the way to go.

Baron it would be cool if there were Soviet mechs vs polish mechs, because 1920 was during the polish Soviet war
