I watched your dream house video and today figured out a method of doing this in native. Create 3 spirals at the same time from 3 concentric circles. The inner and outer spirals can create a sliding plane that doesn’t twist inwards as it turns. Use the middle spiral with follow me to build a tube. Use the plane to cut it in half.

It's too bad that this can't be done in native tools. I've tried using this technique to make hand tails up stairs and around corners with Follow me. but the face I'm trying to extrude up the curve always ends up rotating around the horizontal axis.

Sadly so many of the cool extensions say they are incompatible with current software. I found the extension and it says it is only compatible with Sketchup '15, '16, '17, and '18.
