Grifting off of their drivers is unconscionable. F Uber.

Greed is not the desire for more, it's the desire for more at the expense of others.

Still as true as ever today.

This is why I quit driving for Uber and Lyft .

If Public transport was better I wouldn't use Uber. Even here in Chicago I have to Uber at the end of the day my buses I ride only are dependable in the day time.

Imagine screwing the drivers. It’s a despicable practice. It’s too bad that the company didn’t tell them.

I won’t work for Uber bc i would have to pay for maintenance and insurance for my car. Plus all the risk associated with driving. It’s not a fair compensation.

The experiment should have had three or four Uber drivers accept the ride including the one who got the low offer and seen which one Uber assigned the ride to.

this is why taxi companies were highly regulated, we need to squash Uber, they have stolen work away from taxis to only screw over the customer and the driver, taxis may have been more expensive but they were predictable, while Uber has surge pricing, after a concert it turned a $30 ride into a $180 ride, the driver sees none of the surcharge, that's uber pocketing an extra 150 ontop of whatever they were already taking from the non surcharge price, these are middle men who pocket all the money, they baited you all in with low prices and high pay subsidized by investors, now they turned profit and are raping the workers and customers

I am not defending Uber BUT the app in the video is Lyft.

stop driving for Uber, and start driving taxi's, watch Uber go broke.

I don't ride with ride shares, so Please bear with me.
I am wondering if the customer was charged less if they rode with that driver.

Plus what happens if a customer wants to head from their house to the airport, but also wants to stop in several stores along the way?

Can they basically leave the meter running while you are running the errands?

To be fair, only 1 driver got the bonus. Probably bc Uber wants them to take the ride for any of _many_ possible reasons. It's an *incentive* NOT *discrimination* Now if every driver _except_ 1 got the bonus, that could possibly be discrimination, but there are lots of other things to consider first (ex. distance, wait times, traffic, user preference, driver rating.. etc.)

Great channel, great content, great investigation, terrible Short. Watching random fingers point at unreadable phone screens with no context is a bad way to keep someone engaged

No two rides are exactly the same because each Uber driver uses his own vehicle and has his own ratings.

Those who were likely to engage were offered X. Those who were unlikely were offered X+1 just in case, if none of the expected ones bite. Nothing to see here.

How about how drivers scam the passengers. My son got scammed for $600. from a driver in Phoenix area. Apparently, it's a common thing.

Just walk. Buy your own car. Ride a bike. Buy a motorcycle . Rent an electric scooter. Ask a friend for a ride. Many ways to not use Uber or Lyft services

This is not news. This is also not technically unfair given the employment model. You don't have to take the ride. It's on you to train the A.I. to only give you rides that meet your effective rate requirement.
