Even if the dev wanted to, they can’t sell the game.
Cover Corp would have to be involved in some form or fashion for that to be the case due to the game so heavily and directly referencing their copyrighted works.
Like it’d have to be officially licensed, meaning a direct revenue share with Cover Corp, either through purchasing of a licence agreement to use specific copyrights (in this case, character likenesses), cover officially publishing the game and paying the dev for their work, or some other form of revenue sharing agreement between the dev and Cover corp.

Mad props to the dev though, I need to hop on and play more, but before the move to steam I must have put in just shy of 40ish hours minimum, game looks, sounds and plays brilliantly, and now I can FISH!? yeah I’m updating later to play!
