First VO2 max workout for my UTMB training block 2. Each training block is 6 weeks. I'm fully recovered from my first training block, and will continue to increase mileage, climbing and descending, and time on feet. Now it's time to get back on (the) track, literally. This is a quick and simple 8 x 200 repeats workout with 200 jog recoveries. Remember, we need to train fast to race fast. Please subscribe to follow my UTMB journey and I'll share more runs and workouts, from the Appalachian Trail to the local high school track.

Hey there, Reto! It's great to see you back on the track with that V2 Max workout. Your dedication to your training journey is inspiring. Keep pushing those limits, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your progress. 🏃I have some 3 x 2000m @3:50/km tomorrow. this clip will serve as my motivation! 👏

Great work Reto. I am new to your channel. I am a friend of Mihai. I do trail running in South USA and based in Georgetown, Texas. I am just cross training at the moment due to hamstring injury

Excellent video Reto on VO2 max work out, I’ve been running half marathons since 2014 & started doing marathons 2020 never really done any faster rep workouts up until the last few years, at first found it hard to know how much rep interval type work to add & at what intensity, but what I have done, I’m pretty sure it has helped me get pbs in the marathon this year & last year, still find intervals nerve racking because it’s easy to over do it & get fatigued & injured, & getting up in the older age group 59-60 is new Territory knowing how much volume & how many races per year, haha good luck with UTMB you’re doing awesome 🏃🏽‍♂️👣🌲👏✅🥳😀

I like the slo-mo shots. That's more like how I look doing them IRL. ;-D

Great work on that session, it was great seeing these stats on the left for each rep, you were flying ✈ We have a 20 x 200m session on Wednesday so at least we know what we're getting ourselves in for 😅

If you are training for a ultra do you need to do 200m repeats? I would have thought longer threshold repeats would be more appropriate
