Fun fact or whatever idk!

I got to wondering about "gag me with a spoon" after seeing that episode b/c I grew up as a kid around some adults who also said that. I looked it up and as it turns out, it's a phrase that originated in Cali in the early 1980s. Basically peak "valley girl" slang. Given Link's age and where he grew up - I believe they've said before that North Carolina tends to "get things" much later than the rest of the US - i think it's pretty probable that at some point in Link's childhood it finally made its way to NC and he did hear his mom or other adults use the phrase.
