Love this video. As a DIY home owner, I first installed my system back in 2000 with a Trace SW4024 inverter. It is still running my system. But I recently decided to refactor and update my system with new panels, more arrays, new charge controllers, new batteries and new inverter. Yeah, just the wires/conduit will be left.


After research, I chose the SE product line and time is showing me that this was the right choice for me. I have 2 MPPT 60/150s now and love them over the 20 year old MPPT controllers I had (and re-sold). The Gateway is so useful and feature rich. And the XW Pro that I will be upgrading the SW4024 with, is spot on a great system. I will be designing my power wall to support 2 inverters with the full PDP. Thank you for this video as it opened up greater insight into how the Pro's architecture is intended and how you as a company are getting to the future result. Thumbs up

is there ANY documentation on how to wire up the DC side of things when using 4 XW Pro's in a system, since the breaker plate only supports 3 inverters?

Thank you for the great presentation. I would like to know if the GRID SELL LIMITING feature in the presentation (24:10)can be can be introduced into the XW+ by firmware upgrade. Secondly, I would like to know if the XWPro is now available in Export or European version.

Top-notch video presentation! I was another product manufacturer fan (OB), but quickly realized and moved to (SE XW+). I have a DIY system and was wondering from the presentation (32:32) if the system is a full off grid with 2-XW, can they not go 17KW overload the fact that the internal relays don’t need to do any switching?

Great presentation and product. However, with the growing popularity acceptance of lithium batteries like Weco, BYD, Pylontech, etc. with external BMU/BMS are you doing anything to enable the XW+ to work in Close loop or are we stuck with the open loop? Secondly, do a home owner need to replace their Combox with the near Gateway?

Hello. Is the Application Note available for programming and setting up the compatible external meter (WattNode)?

Using the export to grid on AC1 while maintaining current exported to grid at 0, what is the max output from the inverter (6.8kW)?

If exporting to the grid at 0 amps and the only load is the main distribution panel, is it required to have anything connected to AC Out on the inverter in order for exporting back on AC1 to function? Ideally, I would like to back feed my main panel and not have to run my loads through a separate sub-panel.

And last question, if the grid goes to 0V, will the inverter still output through AC1 and thereby feed the load with grid not present?

Yeah, well my xw6848 couldn't sustain 7.5kw for 5 minutes without a thermal shutdown. How do I limit it to 6000 so it can handle my 32A car charger without overheating?
