Inconsistency in support from Ukraine’s international partners, caused mostly by political delays, has left the door to this outcome wide open. However, with the recent approval of a long-delayed $61-billion U.S. military aid package, Ukraine’s outnumbered troops are going to get a much-needed boost in their battle against Russia’s invading forces — that are now nearly half-a-million strong.
