Randy great story i believe you, i was stationed at ft lewis in 83 to 84, i was a 11-B infantryman, the ranger battalion was next to us, my battalion was across from the evergreen theater and the air field, i did not see bigfoot but a army buddy in my squad did while we were doing night land navigation traing on ft lewis, i remember it was at about 0200 and we were waiting for a duce and a half to pick us up and take us back to the barracks when a fellow soldier told me he didnt want to come to the field ever again and was vary shook up, he told me that him and his battle buddy were following a compass azimuth in some thick woods with his buddy walking infront of him reading his compass and he was walking about 10 feet behind him following his ranger eyes, he said they came to a small clearing and the moon light was vary good and as he came into the clearing he saw his buddy walk past by about 15 feet what he could best describe as a 9 foot tall hairy guerrilla that was huge and bulky, he said his buddy kept walking into the dark forest never even seeing the creature when asked moments later, but that he stopped and him and the giant guerrilla as he called it were about 30 feet from each other and stood looking at each other for about 8 seconds and it just turned and walked into the forest out of the clearing and the moonlight, he said he ran and cought up to his buddy who never seen it, i knew the guy good and believe his story he was always level headed and trustworthy we finished our army contracts and both got out in 86 ETS honorable.
