One of the things an infinite mindset provides is a calm confidence. Those of us who embrace an infinite mindset can actually come out of hard times better off than when we entered.

Simon spoke with Dr. Jarik Conrad of Ultimate Software about the benefits adopting an infinite mindset brings in times that force us to adapt.

It's not the strong that survive, it's the adaptable.

Life will be the same for those who value liberty. For those who want to live isolated and indoors, Godspeed. I value liberty.

This is great! My friend, Erica, is a clothing designer in Portland, OR. She has a high-end boutique. When the store closed, she and her seamstresses started making masks. They ended up getting so many big orders from commercial businesses and from individuals, that she was able to keep her seamstresses employed and provide benefits for them.

That is why cultivating a growth mindset is so important. Keep learning, keep growing. That is how you become resilient.

Simon's lessons boil down to perspective. How you view something means it all.

Thanks Simon - your example of waiters switching jobs to packing food/doing online orders reminds me of what an enlightened union leader once told me: "I'm here to protect WORKERS, not JOBS." He was referring to the fact that jobs may change, but his goal was to keep his union members (workers) employed and adaptable with the right skills.

The most important skill that parents can gift their children is the training to survive in all situations- scarcity, lack of comfort.

The infinite concept makes everything so meager, including your own time on earth. Humanity is just a blip in existence. Once you realize this is when you are set free

I love What you’re into and what you stand for Simon but you are very simplistic in this interview, we are talking about human behaviour on a scale never seen before in recorded history, people and councils painting distance gaps for people to walk in, children living in bubbles in the classroom they’re not allowed to play with each other, sitting on tables on their own… This is not the same as after World War II because yes they were changes, companies went out of business but people could still go to bars, people could still frequent people could still hug shake hands and be a human

Beautiful, optimistic, but simplistic. There are certain jobs that are not adaptable, they will simply disappear. And those who lived their entire lives of that will perish. Above all if they are older and only skilled in doing that job they did their whole life.

I have saved so much working from home, no train fares, fitter as have time to exercise, don't have to buy clothes or make up, feel less stressed, so many benefits.. open plan offices are very stressful . So much gaslighting, narcs and bullying

It may be true in that it will be better. People will appreciate more, work harder, save more, and trust the government less. Here in Florida, we are happy that things are opening up.

It’ll be different when we get forced onto a digital currency and ID, have a social score and don’t dare to speak what we think.

Every generation adapts to something that was not previously experienced. So, everyone in the comments saying they won't change, seriously, look at your life, you already have.

It's so easy for people to complain and stay frozen to changes. Good talk!!! Love it!

Adapting to changing conditions is a daily task when you own a business. Politicians who keep moving the goal posts and changing the rules to suit their agendas is what makes it more challenging than a predictable virus lifespan.
