Love Story is a 1970 romantic drama film written by Erich Segal and directed by Arthur Hiller. The film, well known as a tragedy, is considered one of the most romantic of all time by the American Film Institute (#9 on the list), and was followed by a sequel, Oliver's Story during 1978. Love Story starred Ryan O'Neal, Ali MacGraw, and Ray Milland.

Arthur Hiller, director of the film, says that this scene was not in the script, it was practically improvised. They had traveled to Boston to continue filming but ran into a terrible snow storm. Without being able to film what was planned, and in order not to waste the day, Hiller had the idea to ask for an American football, and request that the city stadium be opened for him. He asked Ali and Ryan to just go with the flow; That's where this iconic scene came from. Only the beautiful music of Francis Lai was enough to make it memorable.

This melody brings me best memories of my early childhood. I was probably 4 or 5 and my dad used to play this album almost every afternoon while reading a book. I got to see the film some years later. I've been to NYC once in the winter and this tune was playing in my head while walking in the snow. Awesomeness!

I have to say this is one of the most beautiful and romantic scenes of cinema history or at least from the films I have seen. It always makes me feel so happy and emotional when I watch this scene. I just hope and wish that I get to have this feeling some day with some one I love.

Today, I did snow operation in the army. Our team had to get up at 6a.m. in order to remove them. Winds and tremendous amount of snow made us tired, pretty annoying work it was actually. While I was sweeping them, suddenly this song appeared in my head and everything seemed like a movie...
I was like 'why this song is in my head? I dont know even the title of it.' Then, I spent my day in Youtubr to find it after the operation.
Now, finally, I found this lovely piece. It is 11p.m. now. And somehow today turns out to be blissful. Thank you!
