Have my 502x for just over a year now. First thing you need to do is swap the pads for HH all over the stock are absolute rubbish. Second, Throw a 16tooth front sprocket on with a D.I.D X-ring chain. the stock chain rusts super quickly and was just meh, with the 16 tooth you will notice a reduction in vibrations on motorway riding and get a little more top end torque. Third, get LED bulbs and a decent set of auxiliary lights on it, the stock isnt bad but isnt good its just meh. with a full LED kit this thing is a dream on dark back roads night riding.

As for the windscreen, im 6ft 3 and bought the PUIG touring windscreen and can safely say there is zero wind noise of buffeting. stock exhaust is absolutely lovely and there is no need for an aftermarket can whatsoever. All in all i would say this bike is a dream to drive but has some nit picky hickups such as the breaks and the headlights. overall id say its a 7.5/10 from me and definitely worth considering for someone looking for the GS style and comfort without paying GS money.

Been using TRK502 for 3 years. 100k km millage clock. Using for daily commuting 168 km. Suit my need & budget. Easy to maintain. Easy to troubleshoot if there is problem. Rarely give problem. Reliable.

Here in Malaysia there is a lot of people using for daily commuting to work. Some even clock more than 200k km millage in 5 years.

The engine sound is down to the 180 degrees chrankshaft, giving the bike more torque down low sacrificing overall power, meaning the engine is suited to the weight of the bike without going over the max power allowed on the a2 license

Just as a point of interest came off a 1200 gs "rip off" B.M.W. with all the issues that come with them like fuel control censors and leaking fuel pump casings and drive shaft right hand heated grip never ever worked £120 per hour servicing costs even if you want to do it yourself the parts cost a fortune To the TRK Cheap to run just as good on the open road could buy loads of these for the same price as one "rip off" B.M.W. yes yes all the G.S. owners will now throw a wobbly but they know in their own hearts what I say is true but will never admit it due to how much they have spent on their so called fantastic machines My T.R.K. is all I will ever want and more and at least half the price! Drop it who cares well almost who cares just ride it and have fun and it will get you home my G.S. did not on two occasions pile of crap

Hi, I have been using the TRK502 ( without the X) since 2019. First series, with all the childhood diseases. Very, very comfortable and nothing has broken. Surprising even to me. I agree with: Glass - too low, Plastics - needed to be lined with foam. My version is without illuminated switches. And the brakes - the TRK502 has much stronger brakes than the X version. Four pistons on each front caliper. And the engine? I already know machines with 50000km on the odometer. Still all OK.

Benelli's are super! I had a benelli 302s (You should review it). I upgraded to an SV650, but the benelli was such a lovely little approachable bike and it could do what you told it to no questions asked.

My 502TRK as been in my ownership for 4yrs 6mth, 14k now lock down didnt help with mileage. However nothing as gone wrong the bike as performed faultlessly. The only thing I was not happy with was the dead feel to the brakes especially the back one, replacing with EBC pads transformed that and an elastic band chain which despite regular adjusting/cleaning/lubing only saw 6k. The bike as been parked outside with a cover since new ands as seen very little deterioration of component parts fixtures and fittings just given a dose of ACF50 once every 6mths. Despite the press and testers banging on about the weight cant say I ever really had an issue with it, mines the non X which is slightly lower. Would I recommend the bike yes and thats after 43yrs of riding everything from heavy weight cruisers to Fire Blades and everything else between. Thanks for the review, enjoyed it.

Got a Benelli 502 (non-X) in 2021. There wasn't much inventory at that time and this was an unexpected option.
Did 12, 000+ miles in 14months throughout New England, Blue Ridge, Dragons, OBX, etc.
Not a SINGLE HICCUP!
Comfortable, smooth, MPG was >50 routinely and a couple of stretches up to 60mpg.
The weight wasn't noticeable at speed as it would tip in easily and held a line nicely (with upgraded rubber to Michelin Road6).
I intentionally went for the weight/power ratio as a returning rider and it didn't let me get in over my head.
Even though I had the road-biased version, it handled a few intentional off-pavement sections (and a couple of Oh-shit-where-am-I navigational errors).
Excellent value for the $$ but not going to get your adrenaline pumping if your looking for huge power and torque. A solid performer.
Will instantly get the 702 as soon as they reach this continent.

I have a 2023, and the bike has been great so far. I ride in the Andes mountains of Ecuador, and so far no complaints whatsoever. Have a little over 9500 miles, and have done nothing but general maintenance, and tires. I have full luggage and no issues with carrying gear either.

I bought my TRK502X in June this year. Two months later I already put more than 4000km on the clock. It performs really well, the engine is buzzy, it feels alive and responds well to throttle input.
Despite its weight it handles like a champ in the corners and I've done various mountain passes with plenty of hairpins in it, not an issue. If anything I've dared to lean this bike further than my previous Honda CB500F which is evident because the tires are completely worn to the edge. The bike gives me lots of confidence and it feels superb.

The fairings are nice and don't make any sounds on my bike, the stock windscreen was slightly too low for me (I am 195cm or 6 foot 4 inch) so I put a Puig touring on it and now its perfect.
The only gripe I had with the bike so far it is that the rear brake feels a bit 'spongy' and could use some more bite. I will upgrade the pads to sintered pads on my next service as I heard this helps.
Also, this is not really an issue, but it does make fairly high RPMs on the highway (120 km/h) being in the 7K RPMs, the sound becomes a bit of a drone in your ears after a while. A smaller rear sprocket (2 teeth) can alleviate this. Noise aside, the stock exhaust sounds really good when its warmed up a little.

Just last week one minor thing broke, which was one of the two springs that hold the kickstand in place (the kickstand functioned fine with just one spring) it was replaced under warranty.

Another reviewer that likes the sound of his own voice. I would like to hear about the engine vibrations at highway speeds. I would like to see the speedo and tacho at highway speeds. I would like to hear the exhaust note at all speeds.
