Does dispatcher servlet always call the view resolver? For example, for the first request, I have a page to render in the browser(it will call the dispatcher servlet) and for the rest of the controller calls(ajax call), I'm just appending the response data into the existing view. My doubt is does the dispatcher servlet call the view resolver for rest of the requests? Please note that I'm using @ResponseBody annotation in the later request's controller methods.

what is maven? maven handles the downloading process for us automatically on mvn repositary when we build a project we don't need to download the maven dependency manually.But spring mvc without springboot we have to download jar, libraries, apache tomcat server manually on the internet.

my ecllipse was of recent version downloaded. and i choosed tomcat 8(which might be the cause of error) . The program is unable to load and it shows 2 error messages in 2 dialog boxes.(couldnot create JVM, fatal exception has occured and tomcat 8 failed to start. how can i delete the existing tomcat to download new tomcat version 9.0. firstly i cannot delete or remove tomcat 8. i searched in google and did all steps to delete and tried installing tomcat 9 but in the previous folder only tomcat 8 is allowded to install. so 9 version is not allowded. Can you help me solve this issue?, please I am in big trouble.
