Thanks for mentioning us! Dr. Martin's Concentrated Watercolors have a considerable history in comic book illustration, back when all but a few special editions were printed on newsprint. You might already know that the intense "Dr. Martin's Dyes" (along with some other brands of dye-based colors) were ideal for making the most of a limited printing method, which only accommodated a few dozen combinations of CMYK. It may seem that there is some redundancy in the assortment, but each of those were probably used in specific formulas for process colors specified for individual characters or logos. They definitely require a different technique compared to tube and cake watercolors, and they are made to a different standard of lightfastness compared to pigment-based paints. Any artists wanting to achieve the look of Silver Age comic colors need to give these a try! As an alternative, to make these dye-based colors handle more like the paint you're used to, use Dr. Martin's to tint acrylic mediums (or Utrecht Acrylic Sizing for a fluid medium) to produce a less concentrated, more workable product.
