Quantum Cognition and Decision

What type of probability theory best describes the way
humans make judgments under uncertainty and decisions
under conflict? Although rational models of cognition
have become prominent and have achieved much
success, they adhere to the laws of classical probability
theory despite the fact that human reasoning does not
always conform to these laws. For this reason we have
seen the recent emergence of models based on an alternative
probabilistic framework drawn from quantum
theory. These quantum models show promise in addressing
cognitive phenomena that have proven recalcitrant
to modeling by means of classical probability theory.
This talk compares and contrasts probabilistic models
based on Bayesian or classical versus quantum principles,
and highlights the advantages and disadvantages
of each approach.

Very nice. I am writing my bachelor thesis about quantum dynamics in human decision making. It is an exciting field and I am looking forward to future research.

I wonder if order effects could have some application in recommendation systems, like when they decide what product or movie to show you next. What if they took into account the order in which you had clicked on something or searched for something before.

Many thanks for your great presentation. I recently have got familiar with this intersection of quantum theory and decision making and by this presentation, I became more enthusiastic to do research in this field, especially in quantum games and some other conventional computer science areas. (Definitely, I appreciate any guiding suggestion from you.)
Also, I have a question, In analyzing the Prisoners Dilemma game, why do people choose some irrational decisions in the experiment? Is this because they consider some possibility for lying or considering some concepts like morality, etc?
It would be great if you have time to reply, Thank you again.

I wish we could get out of vectors and convert everything to Hamiltonian.
