can you hear my heart break for catra??? i was going to do another catradora video then catra went through so much, and they really had to hurt her like that not to mention that cliff hanger???, im so mad that shadow weaver played her, she just wanted validation. ;-; Catra deserves better and i hope this is a step to redemption for her. Anyways i guess this is a character analysis? or a recap from season 1 and season 2? idk but regardless hope you enjoy!

This is the tragedy of Catras character. She’s been a victim her whole life so now she can’t even recognise her own agency (actions have consequences darling), even when she’s fighting desperately to stay above it. You edited this with so much empathy and it shows. Great job

Let's be fair. Adora didnt want to leave her, she just didnt know at the time how bad the horde was but catra did and she didnt mind it as long as adora was with her. When catra found she had new best friends, she pushed adora away like when they were younger. She wanted to be the only one adora needed, she got jealous and angry all because of her feelings for adora. She blames shera for this and therefore tries to murder shera, not adora

It still amazes me that people think Catra isn’t a victim, and try to paint her as the villain.

The definition of villain, implies inherent evil, want a perfect example of that in the She-Ra series, look no further than Horde Prime. He is the very definition of Villain, egotistical, narcissistic, desiring to bring order to the Galaxy, because he views it as wrong, simply because it does not conform to his beliefs. Cruel, cold, calculating, willing to use the feelings and attachments of others to hurt people and get his way.

Now fairs fair, we she shadows of these in Catra, like when she kidnaps Bow and Glimmer, but she HAS a reason. She wants to win, she wants to impress Hordak and Shadow Weaver, she wants to prove she is better than Adora. Catra does bad things, not because she wants to, or because she’s following some crazed ideology, but purely out of necessity. Life in the Horde is all she’s ever known, and in the Horde, weakness is stamped out, so she HAS to be strong, she HAS to obey orders, she HAS to find a way to win, in the interest of her own survival.

Now, let’s mix in the abuse she suffered from Shadow Weaver, her feelings for Adora, and how badly she deals with things like jealousy, depression and loneliness.

Now to all those who STILL think Catra didn’t deserve redemption or Adora, take this information, and go back and watch the series again, or even just this video, and tell me…
