Chios is the fifth largest of the Greek islands, situated in the northern Aegean Sea. It has a laid-back atmosphere, little family owned resorts and incredible natural beauty. Chios is particularly famous for its mastic production its numerous monasteries and secluded beaches.
Beaches in Chios have lovely surroundings and clear water. Emporios, Mavra Volia and Karfas are just a few of the famous ones. Most of them even though being rather remote are still organized with tourist facilities. Driving around the island is a must as visitors will find many secluded and some unorganized Chios beaches, perfect for total relaxation and privacy.
